Being a Mum I have a very strong reason why I started my Virtual Assistant Business; to allow me to work from home so I can be there for my children when they need me, to pick them up from school, to never miss a sports day or a nativity play, to look after them when they are sick. Pretty standard things but ones that are really important to me. My business will ultimately give me freedom.
Having a strong ‘why’ is the single most important thing you should work out before you do anything else in your business.
Your ‘Why’ is the reason you started your business, the reason that you get out of bed every single day and the reason that you took the plunge to start something from scratch. It will be the thing that keeps you going when times are tough, when you have a bad day or someone close to you tells tells you that you can’t do it. It will be your motivator, it will be your backbone and ultimately your strength. That is why it is so important.
If you haven’t thought about your ‘why’ then there is no way you are going to get through the tough times, but if it’s strong enough, then every time you have a knock back you will get back up because your ‘why’ far out weighs the rough times that will come in your business.
